Hello My Friends

 

Hello my friends. Many of you I know personally, many through Facebook only. To each of you no matter how I know you I would like to wish you a happy and productive new year. For so many the old year sucked and I am happy to put it in the rear view mirror.

 

Todays blog doesn’t really have a set direction. For the first time in a long time, it just feels like a lazy Sunday morning. My dog can’t decide whether to stare outside at cats or just lay in the floor in a sunny spot. That is what you call having it made.

 

For me, I know I have a million things I need to do, but if I do them remains to be seen. What will you do on this beautiful day? From memes to “Breaking News” stories, Facebook and Twitter are full of information. Most of this internet info is very opinionated and is the original source of “fake news.” True journalism where the writer does real research before publishing a story seems to be a lost art.

 

Unfortunately, readers are suckers for the printed word. Across the nation people can be emotionally connected in a matter of minutes or a few hours. Stories get shared over and over. These stories often have just enough truth to them so that they are somewhat believable. They often go viral reaching millions. Since everyone is talking about said stories and sharing them thousands of gullible internet users think they are the real deal.

 

Jumping to conclusions is now a way of life for many. A picture is still worth a thousand words but coupled with fake, made up words is pure garbage. Give me enough time and I can connect Captain Kangaroo and Mr. Rogers in the biggest sex scandal you have ever read. If your source of news or information comes from Facebook or Twitter you really need to look for a new source.

 

Keep in mind writers like myself get paid for views…not truth. Look for news sources that are not slanted only in the direction that you want to hear. Look for a news station that even in this day in time bases there stories off of facts, not slanted agendas.

Serial Killers in Training

Ever wonder what motivates serial killers and why they can do what they do with no feeling or remorse? Some say it’s their background and environment. Others blame mental illness of one kind or another. While all of these causes are probably correct, some killers are just plain ole mean and rotten to the core. These are the types that kill for the simple pleasure of it.

I logged into Facebook this morning and found a horrifying site. Two teenage punks had hung two dogs from a tree. They were quite proud of what they had done because they show themselves in the picture smiling, drinking coffee and smoking a cigarette. Unfortunately this was not the first time I have seen these two. The last picture they posted they hung a little puppy.

I am not the only one outraged by this for over 31,000 people have shared this photo in hopes that someone will step forward and rat these two up and coming serial killers out. What happens when killing family pets of others no longer is satisfying enough for these two deranged punks. Will small children begin to go missing.

If I had to guess there is another party involved in these ruthless acts, someone is taking the pictures while these two pose with the dead animals. I hope the picture taker knows that he or she is just as guilty as the other two and when caught will be held accountable.

I have a feeling that the best thing for these two pieces of trash will be to be caught by police and not by a loving dog owner. I feel sorry for what ever is broken inside these two but not for whatever happens to them when they get caught.

Note...I went back to Facebook to copy the photo so I could put it here in hopes of getting these two caught but it was already gone. Maybe there won't be a next time but if there is I'll act a little quicker.

Writng Isn't Always Boring

The past few days I’ve written several articles for clients on a variety of subjects. Baby strollers, home safety, Pillow Pets and a few more and all boring. Writing for money isn’t always what it’s cracked up to be, but I like it so I hang in there. Every now and then a topic comes along that lets me know that somewhere someone has smiled on me.

Today as I browsed through the job board I wasn’t very inspired at what I was finding. Mostly technical stuff that made no sense to me whatsoever. I try to stay away from these types of jobs because you spend more time researching them than they end up being worth. Just as I was about to give it up and go snoop around on Facebook, there it was, my article…natural breast enlargement. Now that’s an interesting topic.

Finally, an article I didn’t mind researching. I mean hey, you can’t just jump in there write about stuff uninformed. You have to go to lots of places and check out your topic from a lot of different angles. Well, after it was all said and done I found out there are quite a few ways out there to make boobs bigger…good to know. I also found out that that are about a billion scams out there that tell you ways that don’t actually work…bummer.

So on a whole my day in writing today wasn’t as boring as usual. But, I just excepted an article that has something to do with BlackBerry unlocking codes. I’m sure this is gonna be quite a let down from writing about making boobs bigger. Oh well, gotta go for now…you guys and gals have a great day.
